Eye drops solution
- Acute and chronic conjunctivitis, keratitis due to infection, allergic but not viral.
- Infection of the anterior uvea (iritis, blepharitis).
- Scleritis, episcleritis, myositis (ophthalmia). Sympathetic inflammation label. Postoperative removal of cataracts, glaucoma, and strabismus.
- Chloramphenicol is indicated when the infectious agent is resistant to other antibiotics.
- Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye, 3-5 times a day.
- In acute cases, the dose may be increased to 1 drop every hour for the first 24-48 hours.
- Should not be used for more than 10 days. If there is no improvement after 3 days of treatment, another treatment should be considered.
