Lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate 200mg/10ml.

Solution for injection.

Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic of the amide group. The injectable form has a wide range of applications for nerve blockade. It can be used by percutaneous infiltration; to block a major nerve plexus such as the brachial; for epidural anaesthesia; for intravenous regional analgesia.

- Local anesthesia of the nasal mucosa, mouth, throat, trachea, esophagus and genitourinary tract: Apply Lidocaine-BFS solution directly. 
- Layer anesthesia: Inject lidocaine hydrochloride directly into the tissue. In adults: Without adding adrenaline: dose not exceeding 4.5 mg/kg, maximum total dose not exceeding 300 mg: When adding adrenaline: dose of lidocaine not exceeding 7 mg/kg, maximum total dose not exceeding 500 mg.
- Regional anesthesia: Inject subcutaneously at the same temperature and dose as regional anesthesia.
- Neuromuscular blockade: Inject Lidocaine-BFS solution into or near peripheral nerves or nerve plexuses to provide a broader anesthetic effect than the above techniques. Leave the block in place for 2 - 4 hours.
- Acute treatment of ventricular arrhythmias: Intravenous injection.
Usual adult dose: 50 - 100 mg, injection rate of about 25-50 mg/min or use a dose of 1 - 1.5 mg/kg. If the treatment requirement is not met, the next dose of 25-50 mg can be used 5-10 minutes after the end of the first injection.
If necessary, inject an additional dose of 0.5 - 0.75 mg/kg intravenously, repeat every 5 - 10 minutes. The maximum total dose is 3 mg/kg.
Do not use more than 200 - 300 mg in 1 hour,
Patients with congestive heart failure or cardiogenic shock need a lower dose.
Thereafter, steady-state plasma lidocaine concentrations can be maintained by infusing at a rate of 1-4 mg/min.
